Pitlochry is a delightful Victorian
town nestling in the Perthshire Highlands amidst
some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe. Easily
accessible by road and rail, Pitlochry is the premier
inland resort in Scotland, and its position close
to the country's geographical centre makes it an
ideal touring base. From here, the length and breadth
of Scotland can be explored using either public or
private transport.
Pitlochry's fame as a holiday resort
dates from as long ago as the 1860's. Since that
time, many of the towns fine houses and mansions
have become quality hotels and guesthouses. Atholl
villa is one example.
This 10 bedroom Victorian detached
stone built house of typical Scottish construction,
built approximately 150 years ago is situated at
the edge of town centre, close to both rail and bus
stations.
This area is proud of its tourist
traditions, and nowhere sums up these
traditions better than Pitlochry's Atholl Road. Here
can be found an abundance of restaurants and shops,
all offering a wide choice of goods to suit any buyer.
